Making an Impact
Our Commitment
In addition to our regular financial giving, our session has made our hands on ministries a special ministry priority. We have two hands on ministry programs, the Presbyterian Housing Program, and the Family Ministries Program. These programs allow us to connect personally with people in our community, that they may know the love of Jesus Christ.
Presbyterian Housing Program
Our congregation houses the Presbyterian Housing Program. This is a multi church sponsored program with the mission of providing affordable housing to the neighborhood directly across the street from our church. Our program has renovated the homes of people who could not otherwise have afforded it, and it is in the process of building a new home for a low income family to purchase.
This program is distinct from other housing programs in that it is committed for the long term to rejuvenating the neighborhood around our church. We are seeking to make an impact for Christ through improving the homes people live in.
Family Ministries Program
Our Family Ministries Program is dedicated to meeting other needs in our community. We host an annual health fair to provide education and contact with medical services. We have an annual back to school event to promote education. We hosted summer music day-camp program, and we continue to explore new directions of God's leading.
