If you come to our young adults Sunday
school class, you'll hear them laugh together about what Paul did in 1980.
If you stay longer, you'll hear how this congregation has cared for it's
widows and families in need.
Humor and Authenticity
We are a congregation with authentic relationships
that allow us the intimacy to laugh with each other.
Ethnic Diversity
While many congregations struggle to reach across
ethnic lines, our congregation has been blessed by God with African-American
and Caucasian members. This is a visible witness to God's kingdom manifested
on earth
Strong Christian Education
We have excellent Sunday morning classes
for children and adults, with many active leaders and additional events throughout the year.
Active Young Families
God has blessed us with actively involved young families. We have 40 baptized
children with only 118 adult members.
Strong Lay Leadership
This is a congregation that barely needs
a pastor. In the five years prior to my arrival, the church had a called
pastor for eleven months. This is a community blessed with mature Christian
leaders.
Lunch Following Worship
Every Sunday when you walk out of worship,
someone will hand you a plate of food. We are blessed to break bread together
every Sunday. Grab a plate and take it to Sunday school!
